With Breakfast Point's magnificent community facilities it was always going to be a challenge to irrigate. Irrigation Solutions operates a centrally controlled system that distributes water to more than 17 acres of turf and gardens. A pump and VFD unit control flow and the water recycles from 3 underground storage tanks that hold more than 600,000 litres. A complex problem made easy by Irrigation Solutions.
When Theiss needed dust control on their Homebush Bay site, they turned to Irrigation Solutions. We designed and built a system that uses pumps and control units. The system involves a Lowara Multistage Vertical Pump fitted with a Hydrovar Variable Frequency Drive which pumps out of a 10,000litre tank using 40mm valves and a fully automatic controller. The entire system uses recycled water.
Irrigation Solutions successfully irrigates more than 5,000sqm of turf at Darling Island using drip irrigation. Designed by Hydroplan Irrigation Solutions installed the Kiss drip irrigation 150mm below the surface to irrigate all the turf areas. Installation at this level allows renovation of turf and uses capillary action, whilst allowing turf renovation to occur.
